EVENTS OF INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE in NSD

 
 
  • The National School of Drama will be organizing a host of activities and festivals for the Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held in New Delhi in October 2010. These will include Jashnebachpan (a national theatre festival for children); Bal Sangam (national festival/mela of folk and traditional performing arts by children); a festival of revived plays of the School’s Repertory Company; and several plays directed by eminent theatre practitioners from the north eastern part of the country.
 
 
  • The School intends to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in 2010 by commissioning young theatre directors to present and perform his work.
 
  • With its belief in the spirit of creative collaboration, like each year this year also the School will be sending a team to participate in the World Festival of Theatre Schools to be organized in Peru in August 1010.
 
Admissions for the session 2010-2013 for both national and international students have been completed in June 2010.
