Workshop of Zhen Yongbei from Hong Kong

At 3:00 on the afternoon of June 10, workshop "eony Pavilion"of Zhen Yongbei from Hong Kong was staged at east rehearsal room of the Red Building. The performance was given by Zhen Yongbei, Art Director of Hong Kong PIP Theatre. In the segment of "eony Pavilion" Zhen Yongbei?brought the audience to a garden in the sky where she told us the modern allegorical story of life and death, love and hatred, gods and myth, transience and eternity.

The previous body of Hong Kong PIP Theatre was Theatre Ensemble, which was a top ten performing company in Hong Kong. Now PIP Theatre is a part of the PIP Enterprise. Zhen Yongbei and Zhan Ruiwen are the Art Directors in PIP Theatre and they devote themselves to the creation and study of theatre. The PIP Theatre draws its inspiration from everyday life and translates that into its hallmark style of "humour" and "satire". The company mirrors the pulse of urban Hong Kong and their productions resonate with the emotion of the city抯 residents. After the performance in the afternoon, Ms. Zhen Yongbei led the staff and audience in the theatre to experience the three concepts of PIP Theatre through body training, masked training and games.

During the whole process of the workshop, the audience learned and experienced the unique method of acting training of PIP Theatre.
