The signing ceremony of cooperation between Shanghai Theatre Academy and Toi Whakaari New Zealand Drama School was held in the conference room of Foxi Building yesterday. Hang Sheng, Vice President (in charge) of Shanghai Theatre Academy and Annie Ruth, President of Toi Whakaari New Zealand Drama School signed and exchanged the agreement on cooperation. Lou Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Sun Huizhu, Vice President of STA, Jin Yonglin, Director of Foreign Affairs Office and Zhang Yunlei, Assistant to Director of Foreign Affairs Office were present at the signing ceremony.
The two schools came to a common ground on system of exchange of students, tutors, theatrical works and short-term training course, which lay a solid foundation for the further development of theatre arts and education of two schools.
Shanghai Theatre Academy is an institute of higher learning dedicated to the education of theatre professionals in China and has fostered tens of thousands of professional art talents. Toi Whakaari New Zealand Drama School is New Zealand's leading training ground for actors, directors, technicians, costumiers, performing arts managers, as well as designers for sound, light, set and costume. The common wish of the two schools is to promote the friendly relationship between China and New Zealand and make contributions to the development of global arts.
