BACHELOR OF PERFORMANCE
The Bachelor of Performance is an intensive, fully prescribed, three year, practice-based course. Students undertake an audition for selection into
the Bachelor of Performance, usually conducted in late November.
Our course is designed to develop skills in movement-for-actors, singing, voice and acting. The Bachelor of Performance sets theatrical productions
at the heart of its pedagogy. Performances range from classical and modern texts, to collaboratively devised movement-based shows, and postdramatic
performances involving media and music. Students also study theatre history and theory.
Our Graduates work throughout Australia’s theatre industry: in small to medium-sized theatre companies, touring companies, festival theatre, and youth theatre.
Specialisations in directing or technical theatre are also offered. A Bachelor of Creative Arts Honours may be taken as a fourth year with a creative output
accounting for 50% of the course structure.
