Successful Performance of the Youth Peking and Kunqu Opera Troupe of STA in Hongkong 10/10/2008

Around 30 members of Youth Peking and Kunqu Opera Troupe of STA successfully finished the performance given together with Jingkun Theater of Hongkong and returned Shanghai on October 8，2008.

Jingkun Theater of Hongkong was established in 1986. Director of Jingkun Theatre Ms. Tang Yuen-ha is the only Hong Kong Chinese opera artist to have won the Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Theatre, the highest honour in Chinese theatrical arts. She is a dedicated promoter of Peking opera and Kunqu opera in Hong Kong. She has organised various performances, lectures, workshops and courses through the years.

The cooperative performances given in Hongkong Cultural Center were The House Wulong （on October 3）, Intercepting the Horse, The Fiasco from You Sanjie, Lady Zhaojun Going Beyond the Great Wall, Pursuing the Dream from The Peony Pavilion （on October 4）, and The Story of The Jade Hairpin（on October 5）. The staff of our troupe paid close attention to every possible problem in order that the performances would go perfectly.

Through this successful performance, the staff of Youth Peking and Kunqu Opera Troupe of STA showed their earnest and precise manners and received wide acclaims in Hongkong.
