Japanese Recreation Dance Creator Mr．Urae Chisachi’s Visit to STA Opera College 06/11/2008

On the morning of November 3，under the arrangement of Shanghai International Culture Association，a group of seven led by Japanese recreation dance creator Urae Chisachi came to STA College of Chinese Opera for academic exchange．Vice Dean of the STA College of Chinese Opera Ms．Tian Mansha received the guests warmly．During the visit，Mr．Urae brought the recreation dance he created and hoped to share it with the students of STA College of Chinese Opera．He wanted the students to feel and express the power of life in the dance through the recreation dance workshop．.

During the two－hour dance workshop，the students watched the wonderful performance of Japanese recreation dance and learned some basic movements．The recreation dance created specially for the disabled by　showed the love and care for people．Ms．Wang Chen，a project leader from Shanghai International Culture Association，interpreted in the workshop．All the students were influnced by Mr．Urae＇s sincerity for recreation dance．

In the end of the workshop，Mr．Urae　mentioned when May 12 earthquake happened in China，people in Japan prayed for the Chinese victims in their own ways．He asked the students to dance for the passed．Many students was moved to tears when the last dance ended．

To express the gratitude towards Mr．Urae，on behalf of STA College of Chinese Opera，Ms．Tian Mansha gave presents and a certificate of honor to Mr．Urae．
