Swedish Experienced Expert in Film and Television Visiting and Giving Lectures in STA 07/11/2008

At 10 a.m. on November 3 in the V.I.P. room,Prof.William Sun,Vice President of STA met Ms. Marianne Persson,Dean of Film Department,College of Film,Radio,Television and Theatre,Sweden.

Prof. Sun and Ms. Marianne Persson first introduced to each other their respect college and then discussed the plan to exchange the students of STA College of Television Arts and College of Film,Radio,Television and Theatre,Sweden in 2009.Prof.Sun appreciated the plan and said it would be a good opportunity for eastern and western culture to communicate with each other.
Fang Fang,Professor of STA College of Television Arts accompanied Ms. Marianne and showed her around the Huashan Road campus and the Virtual Simulation Laboratory.On November 4 in Room 414 on Lianhua Road campus,Ms. Marianne gave a lecture on Swedish films.

In her lecture,Ms. Marianne introduced to the Chinese students the market values,feasibility,social values and cultural background of "children's pespective"in Swedish films.In Sweden,literature,films and television works about children are highly valued because children hold an important position in Swedish society.As a professional producer of works for children,Ms. Marianne recommended to the Chinese students the subject which would have a great development in China.She also showed four of her students' film productions.

During the lecture in the afternoon,Ms. Marianne exchanged works with those of the graduate students and made comments on them.The students said they benefited a lot from the lecture.
