A Performance Group of Israeli Arts School Visiting STA 18/11/2008

A professional performance group from Tel Aviv Arts School came to visit STA with Mr．Amir Lati，Consul General of Israel in Shanghai and his interpreter on the afternoon of November 18．Prof．Ge Lang，Vice President of STA accompanied the guests．

At 3：30 p．m.，a welcoming meeting presided over by Mr．Zhang Jun，Vice Director of Teaching Affair’s Office was held in Xiong Fuoxi Building．Vice President Ge Lang expressed his warm welcome towards the Israeli friends and advanced suggestion of possible mutual cooperation in the future．Mr．Jin Yonglin briefly introduced the work and fruits of STA Office of Foreign Affairs．

Led by Mr．Zhang Jun，the Israeli group visited the Theatre Museum，Duanjun Theatre，Black Box，the library and the Virtual Simulation Laboratory．Through the visit，the foreign guests knew about the history，the advanced teaching hardware and the excellent teaching fruits of Shanghai Theatre Academy．

At 7：00 p．m．，heads of STA  Mr．Lou Wei and Prof．Ge Lang together with the Israeli friends watched a show performed by students of STA．The guests highly praised the performance and expressed their love for  Chinese culture．Modern dance Rush and Xinjiang dance Flowers made a deep impression on them．

This kind of cross-cultural communication is a good opportunity to show our academy as well as convey the culture of ancient China and the vitality of modern China to foreign friends．
