Professor Gregory S. Lewis from Weber State University Giving a Lecture at STA 13/06/2009

At 6:00 last night, Prof. Gregory S. Lewis from Weber State University Department of History gave the lecture interviewing Truth An Analysis on Film Frost/Nixon for the teachers and students of STA. The lecture chaired by Prof. Fang Fang of STA College of Television Arts was co-hosted by STA College of Television Arts and College of Continuing Education.

The film Frost/Nixon was nominated for best picture, best director, best actor, best adapted screenplay and best editing of the 81st Academy Awards. Prof. Gregory S. Lewis talked about how to interview truth with deep insights on American politics, history and system of journalism. The film Frost/Nixon was a dramatic retelling of British journalist and TV presenter David Frost interviews of former US President Richard Nixon. The interview had a great influence not only on the history of television interviews but also on the politics and history of America. The director Ron Howard made an artful adaptation of the event on the basis of the historical truth, which is worth learning from by the students of film and television.
