Ms. Carla Cattani, General Director of Filmitalia Gave a Lecture at STA 19/06/2009

At 3:00 p.m. yesterday, Ms. Carla Cattani, General Director of Filmitalia and leader of the Italian film delegation in the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival, was invited to give a lecture for the students of STA. During her lecture “Development and Cultural Protection of Italian Films”, Ms. Carla introduced to the students the policy and strategy of Italian films. Ms. Carla was excited to see students of STA talk about the Italian films they had seen in the film festival. She praised the artistic understanding of the students and promised to provide opportunities for these young people.

Lin Xiaoying from Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office who interpreted at the lecture expressed her appreciation for the equal and friendly communication between both sides. After the lecture, Prof. Fang Fang, Dean of Television Department presented Ms. Carla Cattani with STA souvenir and showed her around the campus. Ms. Carla Cattani said with excitement that she had not expected to see such a good academy of arts in China with teachers full of efficiency and students full of passion for arts. She wished to make more contribution to the communication between Chinese and Italian films.
