The First Graduation Ceremony Held at Macao Teaching Site 12-10-2009

The first graduation ceremony of the Macao Teaching Site of STA Affiliated Dance School was held on October 8th. Yu Ping, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Culture in the Ministry of Culture, Feng Shuangbai, Vice President and Secretary of Party Group of China Literary Federation, Niu Gengfu, Head of Education Division at the Department of Science, Technology and Culture in the Ministry of Culture, and Chen Jianian and Yang Xinhua, both vice president of STA Affiliated Dance School, attended the ceremony. Ge Lang, Vice President of STA, and Liang Xiaoming, President of Macao Conservatory, awarded graduation certificates to the students. Wang Shihong, deputy minister of Ministry of Culture at Macao, Zhangyi, President of Dance School of Macao Conservatory, and Tang Shiwei, President of STA Affiliated Dance School, delivered speeches at the ceremony.

The original dance drama The Flight To The Moon, mainly performed by the graduates, was praised by experts and the audience, marking the achievement of the aim to nurture the first generation of local professional performers. President Feng Shuangbai described it as a major issue in the cultural history of Macao. After four years of comprehensive professional training, a group of professional dance performers were cultivated by the school, which promoted the process of establishing a professional dancing group, providing precious experience for the art educators in both Macao and Shanghai. a
