Statue of German Theatre Master Goethe Settled in STA 16-11-2009

The statue of Goethe， the 19th-century pioneer of German Romantic theatre has been uncloaked at STA on Nov. 16th. Excutive President of Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Wang Xiaoshu， Vice Mayor of Jin An District Zhu Chenggang， Head of Shanghai Culture Bureau Zhang Aihua， Mayor of Frankfurt Mrs. Petra Roth， Shanghai German Consular Mr. Vice Mayor of Frankfurt Albrecht von der Heyden， and Chairman of the School Council Lou Wei， President Han Sheng， Vice President Ge Lang， Liu ZhiGang， Sun HuiZhu from STA attended the ceremony hosted by Sun Huizhu.

On the ceremony， Han Shen， Roth， and Wang Xiaoshu expressed their excitement towards this event and emphasized the importance of the cultural exchange between China and Germany， while the statue was uncloaked by Roth， Wang Xiaoshu， Lou Wei， and Zhu ChengGang together.

The statue of Goethe is another statue of theatre masters settled in STA after Kalidasa（India）， Goldoni（Italy）， Ibsen（Norway） and Brecht (Germany).
