Chinese Director Directs Shakespeare’s Play in the UK 06-01-2010

Who Killed Juliet? A show directed by Lu Ang from Shanghai recently has been performed in the theatre of University of Leeds, UK. Lu Ang is the Dean of Directing Department and a doctoral advisor in Shanghai Theatre Academy, who creatively adapted the classic Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, and incorporated the elements from Chinese classic opera, dance, music, Muppet and the concept of symbolism and poetry. The performance was extremely well received by the audience and highly appraised by professors of the East Asia Department and Theatre Department of Leeds University.
