STA Signed Memo with FUB over Cooperative Theatre Management Program

 

On July 22nd , accompanied by Mr. Shi Siping, consul from German Consulate General, Prof. Siebenhaar from Freie Universit t Berlin arrived at Shanghai Theatre Academy and joined in a whole-day meeting with Mr. Wang Liwei, Director of Performance Centre and Department of Stage Design, Mr. Zhang Jun, Executive Deputy Director of Performance Centre, Ms. Zhang Yunlei, Executive Deputy Director of International Exchange Centre over the topic of cooperative education project. Special Representative from Poly Culture Group Corporation, Executive Deputy Manager of Shanghai Oriental Art Centre Mr. Cao Liqun also attended the meeting. Mr. Lou Wei Chairman of met with the guests during the intermission of the meeting.

The four parties engaged in this negotiation are German Goethe Insititut, German Freie Universit t Berlin, Poly Culture Group Corporation and the school of STA. The focal point of the discussion was "How to improve swiftly the professional level of senior Chinese theatre managers". After a whole day's discussion, the four parties reached two final agreements: 1. Holding a 45-day national senior theatre manager training program in April 2011;2. Striving for starting a cooperative Master Program on Theatre Management between FUB and STA in 2011.

The success of this meeting is indivisible from the well-preparedness of all the four parties. President of STA, Mr. Hansheng had twice summoned Vice President Mr. Huang Changyong and Mr. Gong Baoyong to pre-meetings for the negotiation. Consul for Gernman Consulate General Mr. Shi Siping came to STA particularly for communicating the details and President Li Nan of Poly Culture Group Corporation flew to Shanghai one day before the meet to engage in deep communication with the supervisors of Performance Centre of STA.
