Dear APB colleagues,
 
From the 5th to the 10th September of this year, Mr. Le Quy Duong and the MY PHAT Centre played host to the 2013 APB School Directors’ Conference and Theatre Festival in Ho Chin Min City. On behalf of UNESCO ITI Asia Pacific Bureau. We would like to thank Mr. Le Quy Duong and his Centre for hosting the event so successfully. 
 
For devoting their time and energy to this event, and for sharing their excellence and vision in theatre education in Asia Pacific region, we would also like to thank the fifteen member schools who participated in the event:

We are delighted to announce that representatives of ten participating schools voted to accept Hoseo University and IPAG as new members of the UNESCO ITI APB, and we would like to congratulate them in joining our APB family. In addition, we are glad to have participation from the University of Wollongong as a guest school and we extend our gratitude to Toby Papazoglou‘s technical production team from LASALLE College of the Arts for working so tirelessly and efficiently to support all the productions of the Theatre Festival.
 
We would also in particular like to thank two special individuals:
 
Mr. Tobias Biancone, Chairman of the International Theatre Institute, for his supportive participation and also his brilliant introduction to the UNESCO ITI Network for Higher Education in the Performing Arts Program;
 
Professor William Sun, for his dedication and devotion to APB as the first Director of the bureau, and his excellent work over the last five years. Surely, he will continue to play a very important role in APB in the future.
 
Looking forward to the coming years, we are very pleased to announce that the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the National Academy of Chinese Arts will co-host the 2014 APB conference(and maybe theatre festival), and that the Korean National University of Arts has expressed its intention to host the Directors‘ Conference in 2015.
 
We believe that the bond between our APB member schools will continue to grow stronger, and the APB will remain the best platform for sharing our performing arts educational ideologies and showcasing our students’ achievements.
